Hello Anne-Lise, Your words here have sold me on the Bahamas. (I lived Florida for a year after I retired from the Army in 1996, and was about one-hour's drive from Coca Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Not the Bahamas, of course, but not so cold as it is here in Europe!!) I would imagine that Christopher Columbus did eat a few bananas when he arrived in the Bahamas. A neat write and theme. I will tell Ingrid. Perhaps we'll make it there one day!! A Giant Seven too!! Cheers, Gary

A delightful poem, Anne-Lise, and a great suggestion for people who are still enduring winter weather. I was in the Bahamas last spring and it was just as you described. Lovely!
