Thank you SO much for sharing your traditions with us, Anne Lise! The president of our university is from Finland, and this Sabbath, he shared some of the traditions of Finland and surrounding countries. He told us about the Hosanna song and he had it translated for us all to sing. I need to incorporate this tradition of the candles...How symbolic and sweet. I love it! You are a ray of light to my heart! Hugs

Anne Lise, Thanks for stopping by..Yes, mostly today women either have a career, a vocation or a job..They do the home as secondary to everything else..However, there are still some stay at home moms who care for the home and family..They do many of the old fashion ways of homemaking.. Sara

we always do an Advent wreath each year lighting each candle in the weeks leading up to His birth. A wonderful way to celebrate this awesome gift to us. You poem is awesome -- loved the visual and words.
