Dear Father
Dear daddy from the first time I remember you entering my life
you been dear to me you was the first man in life to hold me you
was the first man to tell me you love me you was the first man to
set me straight Dear daddy I wouldn't be the woman I am if it wasn't for
you.
Dear daddy when I begin to grow older you was my first soldier to give
this young warrior strength sent to me from the chief your smile, your warm
heart would keep me at ease I knew you was always there for me no matter
how tough times got you stood strong in your spot
Dear daddy when I left your nest I assume I was ready but oh boy you knew
I would come knocking at your door asking for your advice asking for your infamous
hug when I cried over our first fight I realized how blessed I am to have such a daddy
Dear daddy I know god has you in the palm of his hands with your beautiful smile
daddy I know you are still making your peach cobbler I will never forget your voice
as you preach every Sunday bad asses straight oh daddy I will never forget all
you gave to me
Now dear daddy I'm still holding on to your love I'm still holding on to your teachings
that's what sustain me that what keep's me grounded until I see you again
in heaven
Dear Daddy
