The lighthouse

 The lighthouse stands alone
On the shore

Holding its own against the
Elements it flashes it's warning
to ships at sea do not approach
For danger awaits

Evoking creativity in some
And fantasies of adventures
On the high seas in others

It's presence comforting
It's allure undeniable
Weather plain or beautifully
Painted stoic yet noble
The lighthouse stands alone
On the shore

Lighthouses do seem to hold such appeal for a number of reasons. I've always found them interesting. I enjoyed your poem, Edward!

Thank you Carol I'm happy you enjoyed the poem. I find light houses interesting as well there's just something about them I don't know what it is. Thank you for your visit and have a blessed day.
