Prismatic Gifts

Raindrops freeze in spectrum of opulence, Gracefully strung in finely-stranded rows. Dressing branches in frosty ebullience, Crystal beauties, bijoux vibrantly glows. Gracefully strung in finely-stranded rows, Lavishing tree limbs in prismatic gifts. Crystal beauties, bijoux vibrantly glows, Careless light captured does heighten their risk... Lavishing tree limbs in prismatic gifts, Generous brilliant facade they bequeath. Careless light captured does heighten their risk, They will soon deliquesce and fall beneath. Generous brilliant facade they bequeath, Dressing branches in frosty ebullience, They will soon deliquesce and fall beneath, Raindrops freeze in spectrum of opulence. You create such a beautiful image of frozen raindrops hanging on to branches, like beaded pearls, Susan! You do this form proud! ~ warm regards // paul

Thank you Paul for your glowing comments. Your visits delight me :) I originally wrote this one wintry morning while looking at the tree in my front yard; it was the only 'beautiful' thing about the freezing rain we got that day lol! I'm so happy you enjoyed this write, I have a soft spot for this poem. Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan

Hi Susan. Thought I'd go back to one your first poems posted on the 'Soup. And what a wonder it is! Great imagery, sophisticated vocabulary and kudos for some of the rhymes (ebullience / opulence is not a frequent pairing)! All the best, John.

Hi John, I'm so happy you enjoyed my poem. Thank you for your generous and heartwarming response. Yes, finding a word to rhyme with opulence was not an easy task lol! Your kind and uplifting words John are truly appreciated! ~Susan
