PASSING OVER

Here for a while
With simple gifts,
Do leave a smile
To help joy lift.

Here as you stay
With touch of cheer,
Bless as you play
With smiles and tears.

Here as life loads
The weights you lift,
Walk the brisk roads
Bearing your gifts.

Here as you come
With your kind heart,
Love's ripples sum
Your touching art.

Here by the way
Of happy style,
Brighten each day
With precious smiles.

Our time is brief
On this good earth,
Yes joy and grief
Climax true birth.

Each soul lives time
Then passes on,
Soon the end chimes
Beckons beyond.
