7 Winter Haiku
climactic climax
satiation’s fulfillment
lost in oceanic drift
the wind cannot rest
a vagabond wanderer
for it is the wind
angered screaming winds
accost the comfortable
a paradise lost
headless sparrows hide
dreams beneath feathers of hope
wind screams at the trees
December downpour
rain skates across frozen ground
wet reindeer shiver
children cling to dreams
adults struggle to fulfill
merry everything
winter shields itself
from the warmth of joyful hearts
Grinch-like denial
