The Grim Reaper
The Grim Reaper One day he will bring a notice One that no one craves to get Those that do are disillusioned Otherwise, they would regret Once the notice is delivered It will have to be received Whether one protests or mutters From this no one can be relieved This predicament is binding Pray for whom it may befall Pray not once, but do it often For this will happen to us all Our dreaded visitor is determined He comes not without a goal He is grim and he is reaping Fast and steady any soul He is cold and unforgiving He won’t try to be your friend Neither will he add a minute To the precious life you spent Do not even try to bargain Pleading too will be a waste When he comes he’ll show no mercy He’ll arrive and leave with haste So count your days and count your blessings Each of them, forget not one For the reaper still runs errands And his trips are long not done.
