Angel In the Mornin'
The best part of my day starts at 7:47. For 10 minutes on the bus, I feel more alive. I get to see an angel sent straight from Heaven On the way to the city for her daily 9 to 5. She just sits there quietly with no cell phone or book, Showing off her beautiful smile to everyone that walks by. Her long, red hair over her white coat is her best look, And she can melt any man’s heart with her incredible eyes. She’s always along, with no one to share the ride. So, it makes me wonder if she has a significant other. I could always ask her…if I could just put my fears aside. Maybe I’m afraid she’ll see me as just an older brother. At least she’ll know she brightened my days for awhile, And that she gave me a little pep in my step as well. If nothing else, I hope that it gives her a reason to smile. Will I have the courage to let her know? Only time will tell.
