Through the Fog
The answer came without a clue. When I finally made it through. I didn't know there was a question. I thought it was just a suggestion. Now I look back through the fog. Of yesterday's polluted smog. With no map to find my way. To a place that I'd want to stay. The sun don't shine as bright. There's no fun, it just ain't right. Dreams are hung on a dark star. And hope, it just seem's too far. Another day awaken's into the mist. Filled with possibilities I just resist. As I wait for what never comes. As if I'm just twiddling my thumbs. After a time you get wore down. You can't even find a way out of town. Get somewhere where grass is green. But instead all I see is what I've seen. Now I look back through the fog. Of yesterday's polluted smog. With no map to find my way. To a place that I'd want to stay.
