Tonight Part Two
I always knew better than to trust you with my heart You're not here to fix me, and now I"m falling apart I trusted in the one that would turn and bring me down I listened for the heartbreak, but it didn't make a sound Dreams relieve the memories of all the things we shared I tried too hard and fooled myself into thinking you'd always care Cut my wrists and black my eyes is too cliche for me How about asphyxiate and burn my corpse until there's nothing left to see These thoughts of you they make me bitter and turn me cold inside I won't tell anyone you loved me, cause now I think you lied Can you really die from a broken heart or a mutilated soul? If you can, I'm six feet under with no hope of being whole They found a murder scene of a killer oh so neat But he ignored a china doll lying broken at his feet No tape or string can fix me now because I'm too close to being gone I tried so hard but I'm burned out, and I've waited for you too long
