Goodbye
Tornadoes swirled within I tossed and turned all night through Trying to find sleep But the noise was just to deafening, my instinct wouldn’t give in Ripped my heart in two, it bleed me dry I saw no sense in holding on, when the tables turned When all the masquerades gained detail, I didn’t like what I saw, too many faces to so many lies So I kicked the chair and prayed you held onto the cord I couldn’t bare not being without you But I was such a love blinded fool Couldn’t see through you, the lies Couldn’t hear your hearts cry, Goodbye My conscience had no pride to congratulate The little strength I had, disappeared As the sun gives way to dark. When the cards are dealt. I find myself recalling all the times you said I love You. Each time those three words leave your lips in retrospect I realise it was nothing more than empty words covered with sugared lies The sweetness gave way to bitterness And just like the going fire My body grew cold and my staggering heart beat grew still The sun set. And life went on . Geniuskin
