Eternal Peace
Love songs singing into my thoughts as I write another sad letter This letter is to the one I believed was my hope and my dream come true I thought maybe I was beginning to crawl out of this dark cave Only to find the light were only headlights of strangers driving by Feeling so lost and full of confusion I close my eyes I try to block out the images of quiet streams flowing by my feet Knowing my life has come to a crawl I lay down waiting for my true light Not believing that my future holds anything for me but darkness So many voices surround me but none of them talking to me No peace and quiet can block out the cries of the forgotten Help me, hear my voice, hold me, love me, and please don't be blind For I need you to hear my cries as I plead with God to stop the pain Fighting for nothing has made me feel like I am living for death A place in heaven or hell where I'll continue to cry or feel love Not knowing if love will ever find me I take a deep breath I exhale for the last time as my loveless world becomes my eternal peace
