Along the Shores of My Heart
{verse-1} Along the shores of my heart, lies my memories As waves of my past, splash inside my mind Inside there's an image, of her and the babies And as my tears start to fall, I drift further behind {verse-2} My bodies now withered, from drinking and rage My hands now wrinkled, on this old weary frame And as another Image floats on by, I turn another page For my life today ended, when the angels came {chorus} Rowing alone, along the shores of my heart Getting nowhere, right from the start So many memories and hearts torn apart As I enter the heavens, along the shores of my heart {verse-3 Spoken} Today where the clouds once floated, the skies are now gray And as I look down from heaven, I see the pains I left behind From my eyes tears fall like rain, as I watch my life just fade way That's when I fell to my knees, and asked why was I blind {chorus} Rowing alone, along the shores of my heart Getting nowhere, right from the start So many memories and hearts torn apart As I enter the heavens, along the shores of my heart {Repeat chorus ending}
