God Bless the Little Children
God bless the little children, Who could not come here to stay. May the angels gather round them And watch over them at play. May tears their loved ones cry For them, wash away all pain. And the first song heard in Heaven, be a lullaby refrain. May a Grammy or a Grampy, Be there waiting with big hugs. In a land of children's laughter, Dolls and kitties, dogs and bugs. God has called these little children. He will keep them safe and warm. But He needs them up in Heaven, To lend daylight to each dawn. For how could it be Heaven, Without the children there? Why, it would be as incomplete, As never needing prayer. Lord, give to those that love them: All the ones who'll miss them so. The sweet and sad acceptance, That it's time to let them go. For to be with You in Heaven, Playing round Sweet Jesus knee. Although we'll miss them here on earth, Where better could they be?
