The Ancient Traveler
Hurtling through space, light years worn and barely aglow; meteor descends to a random mark. Injuries are no stranger to the traveler and time is non-existent, it’s never known it… no deadlines or appointments press. A journey of one billion, light years and three black holes later; Earth is a rest stop. A few hundred-thousand there, will provide fuel, for the next quest. You may wonder what meteor learns… a sad fact…all planets die; some are murdered by their own children. Dwarf implosion, sends meteor sailing, in celestial seas again. Like the human, his body has changed. Weight loss has given him momentum; faster he’ll fly. He never looks back, when he leaves a dwarf. Ignition sparked and fuel burning, he moves on. He spies a beckoning nebula, in lovely shades of pink and blue; he’ll rest there now.
