Snapshots of Nine Eleven
Snapshots of 9/11 The images unfold before my eyes of death and destruction. Broken bodies lying grotesquely where they fell...a testament to the utter helplessness they must have felt in their final moments Thick acrid smoke and the odor of gasoline and burning flesh, pervading the nostrils of the brave fireman as they laboriously climbed the stairs to their death, are forever embedded in my psyche The unbelievable sighting of the second plane... dipping slightly... as it relentlessly rammed the second tower in homage to Allah! The screams of shock and amazement from the throngs below running for their lives in advance of a tremendous ball of smoke and debris, as the buildings crumbled in front of their eyes, consuming all who remained within. But most haunting of all... the image of grieving families frantically posting photographs of loved ones on bulletin boards, hoping against hope...that they miraculously...escaped the carnage. And...incredulously...all this... In the name of Allah!
