She Is Me
Do they notice she's even broken No, she wears her pain as a token! Places a smile in every direction, Even if she doesn't get the same reaction. Looking at her you couldn't tell, She went through many events people only imagine in hell. Fear is only a word to her; she is numb to that feeling deep within, Not a victim a survivor to multiple battles; her soul will always win. Suicide was in her mind, Until she thought of all she would leave behind.... Bringing pain onto others hurts her even more, She chose to keep her feelings silent and close the door. To this day she will smile and even laugh like everything's okay, For she knows the struggle is hard as she embraces knowing tomorrow is a new day! She's wise to know you cannot change what has happened; it's now apart of her past, You wouldn't know by looking at her today that she grew up too fast. She taught me how to be strong, That I had it in me all along! I look to her and this is what I say, She was me still is today. I'm sorry I let my emotions get in the way, I begged God to help me see me through when I'd pray! I did and I have changed my view, I look at everyday each day anew!! I'm proud of the woman I've grown to be, I may make mistakes; I learn though you see!! I am not afraid; fear does not scare me!! I stand tall with pride like a beautiful tree!! You would have never guessed I suffer with anxiety and depression, I don't share my problems because I've already learned that lesson..
