In the Cloud
The little cloud streaked across the sky Then it turned sharply, Soon to pass another one by And then to disappear completely. It was a jet stream And like what happened to Jesus, What could it mean? When He disappeared into the cloud He told all to go and show With a command so loud So we would know. Were they sad that He left them The cloud darken their hearts? They'll be with Him, but when? There'd been so many stops and starts. Now get the engines fired up! Streak across the sky! Receive His grace; drink the cup. Fly with Him, not asking "Why?" The "How?" is in peace and joy; The Holy Spirit mode. His gifts are ours to employ. We can fly; it's not a heavy load. In the end He'll come back again. In the clouds we'll meet. Resist all evil and the pain. With no distancing, we will greet!
