The Beginning of the End
In the wilds of stalled life’s changing dynamic landscape, the paved smooth pathway across the undulating topography meandered across the defined present to the nebulous future, I was set to traverse, following the footprints of destiny. Many surging streams in spate I swam across in windstorm with floating hopes held close to the heart lest they drown. Chasing butterflies in the void of verdant valley in full bloom, the winged dreams flew in the rainbow arched anchored sky. Rippling with the rhythm of the rustling leaves in the forest, sneaking streaks of the golden sun wrapped me with rapture. In restless nights I found a calm niche in your arms to repose, in my meadow I saw spectrum of love sparkle as dew at dawn. I see the spent sun sink in the fold of the flooding twilight, from the corridor of obscurity winding in front I look back. Leave the faded trail, take the first step to walk the last mile, and on the pathway I now perceive the beginning of the end. November 18, 2020 Contest : Juxtaposition Sponsor : Silent One
