Never a whisper did they utter, but for sure, I detected that they, all three, were indeed gazing at me. But I returned to them a taste of their own desert by starring back. They had more to display today than their sticker-laden green flaps which remind me of a beaver's tail. There were other like-plants which had blossom shoots not quite ready to gift me with flowers, but this one had three flower blossoms robed in the prettiest of yellow just for me. Those blossoms were much too beautiful to observe alone, so I beckoned my bride to come and stare with me for a while as the cactus blossoms bathed themselves in the mid-May sunlight. They took every advantage of their modeling skills, displaying no signs of shyness as they overwhelmed us with their breath-taking yellow. 0551720PS
