Thinking back to the days when we both would Go playing outside after we had read. Rainy days would keep us inside instead- Recess was never allowed on wet slides. As the sun came back out, we soon were led Outdoors; never leaving each other's sides. Now, she graces these lines, although she hides Deep within the structure of this rhyme- Search for where within these lines she resides; The answer then will be revealed in time. And, as the story now comes to an end, I dedicate this to my childhood friend. © 2019
