Black Friday's Metamorphosis
All who knew him insisted He was a great guy: Warm-hearted, Gentle, Caring, and kind Thinking only of his fellow Man Ready to sacrifice himself For the common good But when Black Friday came, and found himself last in line, He could not stand it. Suddenly, he rushed through the lines, Kicking and cursing Pushing everyone aside Stopping at nothing Till he got what he wanted. Satisfied, he smiled. He was proud of his achievement, Then cooled down Once more, becoming the loving fellow they all knew You see, my friends, he had to keep up with the appearances Christmas was approaching He didn't wish to miss the spirit of the season For a good Christian, he was, and so he will remain Till next year's Black Friday comes. © Demetrios Trifiatis 02 December 2019
