My Wings
I was enveloped in buds bleeding crimson affection, wearing ivory silk to cover my flaws- redeemed by a man of virtuous value, wearing eyes only seeing me beautiful; we seek desirable attachment through intimacy, becoming one dulcet soul; I’m enchanted by who he is and who he will grow to be- sharing felicity at dawn and passion at night, fearing not kismet but yearning for more years with me by his side (holding frail hands) like pebbles along the tidal beach he surfaces me with resonating wonder a dalliance of romance feeds us until our starvation becomes nourished- "and yes, my love, you nourish me..." our connection feeds not on mistrust but truth (the Word of God sings) I shall flee with only him if he’ll let me- for I am his butterfly... and he is my wings Date - November 1, 2019
