Father If You Are Willing -Luke 22: 42
Jesus was used to being on His knees for He took time to meet His father alone despite being the son of God He needed prayer to be with God since before eternity, He'd known This occasion was to be unique indeed His father had given Him a vital task since the fall of man God always had this plan to bring salvation to those He drew to ask Here Jesus was faced with an awesome job to take the cup of God's wrath no less pleading with God for another pathway but deep down knew it wouldn't be yes So here Jesus was submitted to God's will no matter the cost and pain He'd to bear praying that He would remain submitted dying for our sins defeating Satan's snare Praise this Jesus for His perfect sacrifice without it, we'd all be bound for hell He our substitute for sins not His own for His glory, we must go out and tell ('And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”) Luke 22: 42 (ESV)
