My Son Loved Eggs
My son loved eggs so much Every day his beloved mother Would give him a boiled egg, Or else he would not talk at all – More so he would go on hunger strike: He loved the spherical object with verve The people tagged my son: ‘The egg-man’. Not only did he love eggs He liked breaking fresh ones on the floor When no one was around – Breaking them was his hobby – He could break an entire nest: And that made him so happy As he played on the broken eggs. But his mother was a wise woman: One day she left rotten eggs on the nest And went away, leaving him behind. My son went on an egg-breaking spree. When I came back in the evening He was so sick, so sick – Nowadays he does not eat eggs: My son does not break eggs anymore, Now he hates eggs with all spirit
