Anthony Bourdain, Rip
(Note: A truly sad day. Learnt that the soul of Anthony Bourdain has taken leave of this mortal earth. May his departed soul rest in peace with 'No Reservations' in a better place of light, love and joy. This poem is for you, Mr Bourdain. We will miss your food trips, travelogue and witty conversations.) ~~~~~~~~~~~ A touching feel of plain old truth, Notes of crisp quest in sure food zest; Taste how art heals with chef as proof, Hurl of pure crest for travel fest; One art that styles a human reach, Now gone away to distant shores; Yield cast of smiles in sanguine teach. Be as it may for brilliance more, Oblige food craves in abrupt times; Urge joy to spring in strange new lands, Rush out to brave and bridge odd chimes; Dance in full swing cultures not bland, Apt your foray for plain food fare, Imprint fond play of simple airs, Now we mourn day you left these cares.
