Poem
For the sun rising each and every day, Blazing fire in the sky Illuminating all there is to see. Painting the morning With deep blue, pink, and orange, Creating the most splendid rainbow The eye could ever see. For the moon each night, Radiating its magnificent light. As its brothers and sisters Twinkle all around. The silver and white beauty Cascading down upon a quiet earth, Creating a majesty of art all around. For the rain that falls, Giving life to all that grows. Making flowers breath taking, And trees awe-inspiring. Filling the rivers with water, Rushing white, and calming blue, Making the land move and come alive. For the spirit filling the body, Swelling with happiness and hope, The center of love and life. The most mysterious beauty Known to man, and also the most familiar. A beacon of luminous light guiding the way Through the darkness all around. For the trials facing everyday life, Reminding us of our strength, And keeping us close to you. Showing that life is still possible Through times of hardship, and that There are no burdens we are given That are too heavy for us to carry. For the love surrounding us Through friends, family, and you. Keeping us strong and compassionate, Bringing sadness and great joy. Showing that you are ever present, Never leaving our sides, and always Giving us what we need. For your son, who took on all of our Mistakes and wrong doings, though we Do not always show our thanks. Opening the gates to your great kingdom, So that we may one day walk with You in your place of perfection and beauty Only knowing love, peace, and serenity. For allowing us back to you After turning our backs and disobeying your law. Your great mercy never ending, Your word guiding our way, Your punishments keeping us humble, And your strength that is Enough to carry us all in your hands.
