   They took my money again!
   When will it end?
   Lunch money is gone.
   Even the milk money,
   Not very funny.
   Left my bus token,
   To get home.
   Now I'm hungry,
   And all alone.
   I'm too old to cry,
   Just have to get by.
   Tomorrow the maggots will come again.
   When will it end?

   Will get into trouble at school if I fight.
   Will use my brain tonight.
   
   Tomorrow is here again.
   This bullying has got to end!
   Made three sandwiches to share today.
   My favorites to share with my nonfriends.

   Talked to the bus driver on the way in.
   I have the same one every day.
   Explained my problem in a simple way.
   Now I pay in advance to get away.
   He'll take me home from school tonight.
   Now I won't have to fight.

   Arrived at school,
   The three maggots appeared.
   Hands outstretched.
   Did my best.
   Nested each hand with a sandwich.
   Only the best.

   The maggots looked stunned.
   "This isn't money! 
     Give us your bus token!
     Don't be funny."
   I opened my pack,
   Stepped back.
   The maggots scrummaged around,
   Dumped my books all over the ground.
   Realized I had nothing of value.
   " Well thanks any way for the sandwiches today."

   I smiled and gave them a wave.
   Next day when I came to school,
   Only one maggot came around.
   "My friends have let me down.
    Swallowed your sandwiches,
    Got sick all around.
    I ate mine,
    Couldn't see why they got sick and not me."

   I smiled.
   "Perhaps it was the extra spice."
   I offered the last maggot one more,
   Just to be nice.
   He smiled and took it with glee,
   "Since you have no money,
    The sandwich is free."

   Next day,
   No maggots came around.
   All three were sick from the spice I found.
   It was right next to the honey.
   The prunes wrapped in ham,
   Made a good sandwich going down.
