Poem

The first day of college, a world so new,
I met a soul whose roots I knew.
From the same hometown, side by side,
Fate had planned this perfect ride.

Day two we sat, our worlds aligned,
No words were forced, just peace we'd find,
From that moment, life just flowed,
In every lane, our friendship glowed.

We laughed, we bunked, we shared our notes,
In college halls and library quotes;
Our roll calls came one after the other,
Some said we're twins, like mirrors of each other.

We looked alike, or so they claimed,
Even our teachers mixed up our names.
Spoke the same words at the very same time,
Even our exam mistakes would rhyme!

Same habits bloomed, same thoughts, same face,
We moved in sync, the perfect pace.
Even our blunders a matching pair,
Same wrong answers, we didn't care!

Cafe talks and library dreams,
Shared secrets, fears, and half-baked schemes.
No show without her felt complete,
She made the mess of college sweet.

New faces came, some walked away,
But she was the one who chose to stay.
In fights and lows, through every bend,
She stayed constant, my closest friend.

Lunches, labs, and bus ride chats,
Matching moods and random spats.
Without her there, the day felt long,
She was my calm, my laugh, my song.

College was hard, but she made it bright,
Turned every dark into warm light.
She’s more than a friend, she's blood by heart,
My twin, my sister - never apart.
