Poem

Has the toil run out for the living soul?
It ends only when one is weary and whole.
We haven’t inquired for a long time, my friend,
Is your family and village in peace to the end?

I won’t waste a single day in vain,
Living my life in my own way, through the strain.
No matter how many storms may come my way,
I cannot sever the ties to my homeland, I stay!

They said the livestock are suffering indeed,
Has the yellow calf turned into a big indeed?
But cattle aren't all that a true man needs,
Aren’t the offspring the ones who fulfill his deeds?

Has your young one finished his schooling,
He’s unique if standing out from the fooling.
Our names may carry us far in the quest,
I hope they thrive, may they always be blessed.

Though some wander, weary and worn,
Their hearts are enamored with the glimmering dawn.
I’ve not seen this world nurture the bold,
That helps a true man’s fortune unfold!

It sounds like wild notions to the ear,
When I speak the truth, many brothers disappear.
Pointing out flaws in society’s way,
Is it my fault for stating the truth I convey?

I won't stop my struggle, no matter the fight,
I’ll carve out my share, standing firm in the light.
Until I achieve my goals, I won’t rest,
You know my spirit, dear friend, I’m blessed!

I won’t falsely praise anyone for gain,
With lies, the truth can’t be hidden in vain.
If we build a society as clear as the skies,
This is my longing, my noble prize!
