Poem
Send me to the heart who grieves, Show me how to see their needs, Teach me how to be one who relieves Let me be a light who succeeds…. In offering them kindness and gentling grace Reassuring their hearts that they’re surely blessed Whisper comfort through my soul’s embrace Remind them that, in You, they’ll find their rest Send me to the heart who mourns, Allow my spirit to be a part of their relief Encourage with the Light who wore the thorns, Give them hope because You will heal their grief. Let me be a comfort sent by You, my LIGHT The answer to every prayer, the whisper of life Trembling through the darkness of night, Prompting me to remember Your great sacrifice. Send me to the heart who is burning with regret Help me show them how to love like no other – To love like the One who time will never forget, To love in such a way that we remember our Brother…. Who taught our hearts and souls that love is wise Love is the answer to every soul’s fears, all tears Love is the joy that shines across the night skies Love is the wonder in the wonderful God shares! Send me to the heart who grieves, Show me that love will always believe Whisper encouragement through autumn’s leaves, As they dance with light, a SON who will not deceive Listen to the music of a heart and soul Who know what it means to love With a love that will surely make us whole, A love sent to us from heaven above. Send me, Lord – send me and know Wherever I am, they’ll see your love flow In my heart – they’ll see a gentle glow Meant to show the world that I KNOW… The One who came to earth to change us so… We could go to live with Him when we die, Live with the One who accepted every blow Because of His great Love on which we rely. Send me, Lord – Send me so I go Beyond the shadow’s haunting To offer kindness, grace and oh… Mercy that every heart is wanting!
