Poem
For life and death were caught within a race to destiny – and all the world awaits. His despot realm would falter from the pace and thus, awaited fire from Heaven’s gates. As mighty legions faded on the fields of battle - defeat consumes his finest corps. His cities wail as brick and mortal yields to emphasize the consequence of war. But stars from Heaven never would unveil. His despot rants were in their final hour. The victor’s hand held back the fires of Hell for such demise left nothing to devour. Pursuits of good and evil never cease to be a God that holds the Devil’s lease. To be a God that holds the Devil’s lease has placed the fate of Earth upon my soul. ‘Tis but a curse that undermines the peace as self-destruction seeks its fatal goal. The path from Eden changed within a breath when destiny was taken from God’s hand In an instant, “now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds” and here I stand. But destiny holds not the will of one for treachery left nothing to conceal. Now, all shall reap the secrets of the Sun as trumpets sound to breach the seventh seal. As devastation cedes to man’s desire, the empathy of God unleashes fire. The empathy of God unleashes fire to satiate the course of mortal blight. ‘Tis but a gift intending to inspire, travailing from darkness into light, ‘tis but a treasure benefitting life that tarries ‘neath the weight of Heaven’s shroud. ‘Tis a blessing, alleviating strife… and one of many Heaven has endowed. But Heaven’s gifts are recklessly maligned when righteousness and innocence depart for darkness still abides within the mind of mortal man, and tempts his doubtful heart. There is no doubt, ‘tis merely God’s desire for man to set alight his Earthly pyre. For man to set alight his Earthly pyre. he first must know a flicker sets a flame to all the gains that demagogues aspire and devastates the spoils they seek to claim. And, no escape will dominance afford for such a beast is never satisfied, and, no retreat is rendered in accord for all shall pay when demagogues collide. But nay a flicker needs to set alight the devastation stored within a whim. Let common ground defray this fiery blight or otherwise, the consequence is grim. The acumen to end all life on Earth, perplexity of man has given birth. Perplexity of man has given birth to all the sins outside of Heaven’s gate. They churn in silence, biding in the mirth where mystery and reckoning await. It stirs a cauldron, filled with Earth’s demise, to boil with all the energy of Hell. Such irony creation would devise a sentience where evil notions dwell. This paradox has donned a flummoxed face. The fires of Hell shall never render peace for life and death were caught within a race to be a God that holds the Devil’s lease. The empathy of God unleashes fire for man to set alight his Earthly pyre. Book: This War of Sons Sonnets of WWII Chapter 11: The Bomb
