Poem
I’ve been told of the lovely biblical times of old I learned my lessons of being cheery and bold Once again, I want you to set my spirits free I don’t want you to let go of me, let go of me In the Texas orange horizon Is where I roam, I wanna come home I want to embrace you in the sun I wanna come home, I’m all alone… With serene strangers on my mind sometimes I’m left behind with my family by my side at all times The Texas orange horizon Is painted upon our eyesight, hon Where have you gone? You’re my awesome horizon and I can’t move on But make me done Make me done, My Texas orange horizon We welcome you, sun We’ll be like kids, running round, having fun… We’ll be like kids, playing lost and found before the dawn I’ve been cold in your lack of touch in this journey I burned the pages of my journal to set my anxiety free Once again, I’m an artist without art in my hands We are wandering in unknown lands, unknown lands In the Texas orange horizon Is where I roam, I wanna come home I want to embrace you in the sun I wanna come home, I’m all alone… With serene strangers on my mind sometimes I’m left behind with my family by my side at all times The Texas orange horizon Is painted upon our eyesight, hon Where have you gone? You’re my awesome horizon and I can’t move on But make me done Make me done, My Texas orange horizon We welcome you, sun We’ll be like kids, running round, having fun… We’ll be like kids, playing lost and found before the dawn Set my solace wings free… Let’s see what happiness brings to me Let go of all worries, baby And paint me the Texas orange horizon for an eternity For an eternity In the Texas orange horizon Is where I roam, I wanna come home I want to embrace you in the sun I wanna come home, I’m all alone… With serene strangers on my mind sometimes I’m left behind with my family by my side at all times The Texas orange horizon Is painted upon our eyesight, hon Where have you gone? You’re my awesome horizon and I can’t move on But make me done Make me done, My Texas orange horizon We welcome you, sun We’ll be like kids, running round, having fun… We’ll be like kids, playing lost and found before the dawn We are lost and found in the horizon We are longing to belong in the sun We are delightfully roaming a long way I’m a long way home, but I’ll become done someday
