Quite recently, it was noted that brain damage has increased, especially among persons over 50. Do you know that eating the wrong types of food could contribute to this? A sedentary life-style or being a "potato couch" (watching TV and eating junk/fast food most of the time) not only increases weight, but contribute to a much slower reaction in time -moving too slow, when I get to it, I'll do that sometime.

The body was made for activity - stretching, bending, walking, etc. From time memorial man has been active. Cavemen utilized the Fight and Flight mechanism which produced adrenalin to deal with large animals or nomadically roamed in search for better living quarters.

Man was always on the go. They died from environmental conditions -being eaten, starved in sandy deserts; but not from high blood pressure, strokes, parkinsons, alzheimers, dementia, accumulation of fat over the heart or other modern acute and chronic issues that exist today.

Loss, often due to stroke or other injury, could be looked at as "death" to an activity, motor function, speech impairment, loss of speech and the ability to perform activities of daily living - bathing the self, grooming, dressing, thinking independently or problem-solving as one did before.

The brain is responsible for the initiation of anotomical and physiological functions of the body. Damage to the brain can cause serious setbacks or loss of function to body parts. Head injuries or not receiving oxygen quickly, or a clot in the form of blood, inflammation or even air; could cut off the oxygen supply to the brain.

Many scientists and herbalists, are researching and carrying out random and controlled Pilot Studies to compare and contrast; modern man with the ancestors' way of life. More persons are becoming aware of the healing properties found in the flowers, stems, leaves, barks and roots today.

Do you remember grandma having a Remedy for a variety of ailments? Many times she only visited the kitchen cupboards!
