And who makes false in time, the truth -
Be it aggressors so complied
with tyranny, that life does youth
their motives . . . while the young are tried!
Death disrobes the body of our fancy garments,
And clothes us with more common fashion:
A mere loincloth of sky blue silk,
So that we may feel the warm passion,
Of resurrection’s gorgeous spring
And the spiritual blessings it will bring.
So sleep on calmly with Jesus,
Beneath your coverlet of blue skies,
And know that the summer garden of ease
Will be there when you arise,
Like a lovely blossom given birth
From a shriveled seed in the earth.

Love, something that touched me
a long time ago when the breeze
blew through my hair and rain
washed my face with embrace.
Love, something that held my heart
with tenderness and devotion reassuring
my body our moments of passion
would linger for hours in hot embrace.
Love, something that came over me
like a warm blanket covering my chilled,
shivering body of emptiness from so long ago,
capturing my mind and soul with renewal.
Love, something that protects me
from all evil and the ugly ways of life,
showering me with a golden halo wrapping
my whole being into a safe place of trust…
love, something that made me whole again.

December 25, 2007
i feel broken today,
shattered like shells on a reef;
i feel fragile and tiny and lost,
bereft of untroubled belief.
i feel frozen inside -
anxiety's weighing me down,
and i don't know that i can abide
while this thing called my life turns around.
Enlightened by a crumbling society
True knowledge excites the spirit
Projected Disembodiment ~~Soar~~
A thin web of light encases earthen madness--
Dancing with the dead
Ancestors of yesteryear
Tribal rituals—warriors--
Attractions to molten heat & Survival--
have we learned enough this trip to the brain
“O” majestic one?
You have the answer
To unlock what is known & the key
To unlock in between--
Arise !
My child & be who you know you can be—
Many centuries before in a dream-
It is a wonderful apartment
But, just comfortable for three,
A surprise visit from relatives
Soon turns into a catastrophe.
Ouch watch out will you
Cried from a young child,
How do you find the space
Seems they will be here awhile.
Breakfast now requires shifts
Lunch and supper do too,
Lets not forget about bedtime
Oh, just how to make it through.
We pile them in one at a time
Please, step over that one,
Parents are under much pressure
While the kid's thinks its fun.
With time going by quickly
Your guests will soon go,
All the over crowding now gone
You'll really miss it I know.
Full moons, falling stars
Milky way, candy bars
Chicken soup, ham on rye
A BLT or key lime pie
The good things that life can bring
Can be embedded in anything
Sunny days, day it rains
Banana splits and candy canes
Hummingbirds, a peaceful dove
A gentle hug , a mothers love
The good things that life can bring
Can be embedded in anything
A child's laugh, colored balloons
Funny clowns, old cartoons
Grandma's cookies, horseshoe ringer
Grandpa asking to pull his finger
Good things that life can bring
Can be embedded in anything
Horse rides, country scenes
Carousels, and jellybeans
Picnic outing, swimming holes
Brown gravy and dinner rolls
Good things that life brings
Can be embedded in anything
Lemonades, bunny hops
Tootsie rolls and lemon drops
Chocolates, caramels
Cotton candy, country fairs
seesaws, tambourines
And many, many, other things

Thank you for this community. I was just looking for a place to post a poem and I have found so much more, kindred spirits, purpose, communal love and an opportunity for growth.
