 I'm a 25 year-old Canadian gal living in the nation's capital. I love to paint, draw, sing and write. I've always enjoyed creative writing, but I only started writing poetry last year - and, I have to say, poetry is becoming my favourite form of creative expression. I have already learned so much from the talented poets here at PS. You people are truly a source of poetic inspiration!

First of all, congratulations to the winners of my first contest!!! You can check out the winning poems on the Member Contest page.
I have to say, it was NOT easy to judge this contest. I was not prepared for such an onslaught of expertly written and uniquely observant poems. I was introduced to art I had never seen before, and I also got to read really beautiful descriptions of some of my all-time favourite paintings.
