Life is an infinite continuum, feeding on its own death. Our mortality, real and imagined, lives within. We can always see these truths with a discerning eye. The mirrored images that seem like two, are but one, a parallel universe whose paths cross like a wisp of wind, we are all of one time, like prose and poems written in separate centuries, but of the same struggle. There, always there, truth never hides, except for those who don’t seek it for fear of what they might find. From light to dark we fly in different directions though toward the same destination. What matters is what we do on our flight. Do we see the paths of leaves as they float on the pond, the reflection of the sky beyond, and the trees, who have now shed their leaves but will reflect full in the spring; beneath the leaves, the roots of the lily pads and the stare of a wary carp who looks from his world as we do from ours? We must find time on our journey to read, play a game, or simply sit and wonder at the marvels around us, for death will come in its own time…

Worst Poem
Blog Posted:4/24/2013 3:21:00 PM

Okay, now this is not a poem generated this morning by some that want to win this worst poem contest by illicit means and it hurts terribly to think that someone would go to those ends, but if they can live with themselves so be it.  I think mine is still the worst lol and just incase I will add another and to prove (if necessary) I will supply original manuscripts from long ago with edited corrections---so there lol--none of this PD crap that is produced just to be victorious here-----and where the hell is Guzzi, she probably thinks none of hers are bad--again, whatever LOL.

     Clumps
Clumps are funny
A clump of trees
But you can't see what's hidden behind
Unless you walk around,
Walk the wrong way
You'll miss me
Hiding in the middle.

Now, to those romantics out there--beat this one--(I can prove it)

Where ever this land of
Make-believe is
I know there's warm rain
And rainbows.
Blue skies with cotton-like clouds,
Soft green grass,
And a freshness in the air
That makes you dizzy
When you breath it.
And you know I am aware
That all of this is true,
Cause there's a little bit of
Make-believe in being here
With you...

I should have entered this in my own tissue box contest but it would not have been fair to blow away (NO PUN) all the competition--now I'm serious--but again, WHATEVER--Where's Guzzi??

These ones don't strike me as terrible. I mean, the way they are phrased is bad, but the underlying effect makes pictures in my head that are perhaps too witty and vivid. All the same, I wish you the best. I hope you do terrible! Ahhh. A relaxing break from my polite facade.

Check this out Craig if it is worse than yours et al. (lol). I titled it: People's Parliament Parliamentarians, where are you/ Are you here or you are there/ Answer me now before I yell/ At your skull and it will break/ Parliamentarians, we are you/ C’mon in and hold me/ If you can./ If you truly know/ You can./ Let lock horns/ And see who will be the Minister./ Objection over rule!/

It does my heart good to see such talented poets bashing their own work. Tis' the dawn of a new age...an age where all poems are equally terrible...HAAAA!...I'm just proud to be here, man.

I think that I can still beat you, Craig! : D

Poor Craig You are still determined to win with this...aren't you? Butt, I mean but I still think hiding in clumps is witty and wot's more it's in the breath of make believe like in the poem that follows and I am sure you were wearing bunny ears, too. Lol You'll have to do worser than this.

Please, Suzanne, dont understimate these lines: "I know there's warm rain/ And rainbows./ Blue skies with cotton-like clouds,/ Soft green grass,/ And a freshness in the air/ That makes you dizzy/ When you breath it." I repeat: "when you breath it" !! A terrific entry, Craig!! LOL!
