Known as Big Daddy to the kids - shortened to just "Big". Worked everyday for the past 50 years in finance, personnel and retirement system management. Twice the recipient of the Charles Dunbar Career Public Service Award, Senior Warden - Episcopal Church - Lector and Layreader. Kiwanis Club past vice-president; secretary-treasurer. Rotary Club past president, and Treasurer. Recipient of Service Above Self award from Rotary International. Paul Harris Fellow - Rotary International. Rivers of Time – A new book of poetry now available Finally, after much time and effort, my book of poetry has been published. Published by WestBow Press, Rivers of Time is in both soft cover form and e-book. Included in both are selected poems, all of which were in the contests conducted by PoetrySoup. Rivers of Time is available on the WestBow Press site at its bookstore, www.westbowpress.com, enter either the title of the book, Rivers of Time, in the bookstore search area, or my name, Richard G. Moriarty, and it will pull it up. Both versions can be ordered from WestBow. In addition, the book is also available in both forms from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble or other publishers and bookstores. In addition to the selection of poetry, I have included, with the aid of a wonderful artist from Branson, Missouri, a number of illustrations to go with a variety of the poems. The cover of the book has a drawing of a beautiful great heron, which is found on the bayou adjacent to my home here in Louisiana. The book will make a wonderful reading opportunity or gift. Most importantly, to all of you who have been so encouraging and supportive while undertaking this project, I give each of you my heartfelt thank you, and hope that you will take a look at our finished product.
