There isn't much to say, LOL.
I'm 45, single (again) and live in Plymouth, England.
I've had all sorts of jobs, from admin to boat-building to gardening, but, at the moment, I work for the local theatre - cleaning windows and sweeping up. At least the people are all nice and we get plenty of free or cheap tickets : )
My favourite poets are Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Robert Frost. I especially love Shakespeare's Sonnet 29.
I love writing and don't think I could live without it.

I'm the bald guy at the very back of the photo, by the way - 'Jack Horner' in the corner, LOL

thanks to linda-marie and all of you

hi everyone,
i'd just like to say a big thanks to sweetheart and all of you for the kind thoughts.
i'm feeling much better already and can lose the bandages tomorrow - but it's a while yet for the stitches. i have the stitches out on friday 13th, lol.
i think/hope the left hand will be operated on in the next few months.
typing one-handed - using one finger, that is - isn't as hard as i expected. sue is cutting my food and helping me to shower at the moment - it's quite funny with the bandaged hand sticking out of the shower cubicle so that it doesn't get wet, lol. does anyone have a better idea?
thanks again for your kindness and friendship,
love to you all,
jack

One can always put a garbage bag over the part that needs to be kept dry and put rubber bands or adhesive tape around it but it could get wet so it might be better not to do that..Thanks for stopping by my blog..Sara

So glad to see you are recovering, Jack, just take it a day at a time, and pleased that you have so much support and caring people, with tips to help you though this challenge. Our newspaper comes in a long skinny plastic bag, which fits nicely. My grand daughter used this in the shower when she broke her wrist.

Hi Jack, I'm praying for your speedy recovery. Keep up the one-handed typing and I say instead of a shower, take a bath and ask for some help. You could still wrap the bandages as a precaution. God bless you, Rhonda

My idea for you. Just don't go in the shower. hahaha. The french way: use lots of perfume!!(Heck, it wasn't for so long, was it?) How about a good sponge bath!!! I'm happy for you that the bandages come off soon.Luv, Andrea

when my leg was in a cast I just put a plastic ba around it and stepped into the shower, just use wide first aid tape to secure it in place.

Stick it in a plastic bag with microtape to seal it or you can buy a waterprood splint cover. all the best Jack
