I WANT THESE TV SERIES BACK!

Blog Posted:10/17/2013 1:50:00 PM

are there no cable channels that can thowback those unforgettable TV series?... i remember a bit of this sitcom called " SOAP" where i found billy crystal outrageous... how about "buffy the vampire slayer " and "miami vice? "... okay, i missed my homeworks and had to cram; but i couldn't care less, lol!

i got a long list; i want them back!... what do you want to watch over and over again with popcorn, chips and a big scream from mom/dad?

My new favorite is Good Wife, great writing. Blacklist is really good as well. Now you have me started Nette, I obviously spend to much time watching TV. Seinfeld is still one of my all time favorites.

my TV-watch list is getting longer, rich.. i haven't heard of good wife or blacklist; but, seinfield is a comic delight... and that goes for 'soap' which is outrageously funny... :)

I didn't know Angel stared that guy from Bones. I also found Soap hillarious but it wasn't on for ver long.

Dramas would be St. Elsewhere...In the final episode the whole series turns out to be a figment of an autistic boy's imagination...Hill Street Blues, best cop show ever in my opinion and the mini-series Twin Peaks was absolutly WEIRD...

Green Acres!!...Every charactar but Eddie Albert's was nuts and they all thought HE was nuts...The Ziffel's and their son Arnold the pig, Mr. Haney the swindler, Mr Kimball the county agent (who was impossible to hold a conversation with)....Also I never get tired of Andy Griffith, Barney Fife was one of the best chatactars created in TV history but Floyd the Barber was my favorite...

Does anyone remember the Kroft puppets? One of my first memories is watching H.R. Puffinstuff. I have never seen them in syndication. I guess kids are too sophisticated for those shows now...I miss ER, Mad About You, Knots Landing, Eight Is Enough, Different Strokes, Quincy...

I don't like his show very much. The Crazy ones with Robin Williams is better. The critics think so too.Sadly, because I had hoped for better from that sweetie.

Mash was great, but i don't miss any of these others AT ALL. I think you don't realize all the incredible stuff on tv right now. Let me list some of the very best: for drama (cable): Homeland/Orphan black/ Rogue/Walking Dead/ True Blood/ Ray Donavan/ Game of Thrones/Shameless/ Being Human/ Breaking Bad and Dexter (now ended but seen thru Netflex). For regular tv channel dramas: Once upon a Time, Grey's Anatomy/ Parenthood/ Scandal and Betrayal to name a few. Crime shows: CAstle/ Bones/ to name a few. For reality tv: the old standards Survivor, Project Runway and So You think You Can Dance top my list. Newest fave drama: Black List and HOstages. The voice is my new favorite singing show!

Yes! More Twin Peaks fans...I remember the show kind of disintegreted towards the end because David Lynch was writing the episodes as he went and couldn't figure out how to end it...

I know there are a few channels like this here, I just can't recall which. You know, you could just buy the DVDs of the various series on Amazon. :) The only "flashback" channel I know & love is Boomerang. And, if you know me, you'll have a very good idea what it is. :) But, some of my favorite shows from the 70s/80s/90s: All in the Family, Knight Rider/Different Strokes/Family Ties, Home Improvement. The "Soap" sitcom was HILARIOUS!

Bill Cosby; it has everything in it-- fun, wisdom, adventure! May I add X-Files? Still recall the slogan " The truth is out there" or something. David Duchovny was a hunk then. A thriller, a must-see again. Now, you got me going!
