 I am in a mighty institution called marriage.I am employed by my hubby and three kids in a workplace called the house,which I like to call home.So I like to call myself a domestic engineer.
I got back to writing poetry again after a hiatus of eighteen years,that's because I found this wonderful website called Poetry Soup.And all the wonderful poets from whom I learn and who continue to inspire me to write better.
I started writing poetry at a very young age.That's because I did not have the happiest of childhood.As a little child with no one to turn to,the only respite I got was by putting down my feelings on paper.I still think I wrote my best poetry during those early teen years.
My motto in life has always has been,Live and let live.I would like to see peace in this world before I die,its asking too much considering the current state of affairs,but its always good to hope,optimism,I think brightens life,its sunshine in the mind.

The Footle Contest Results

Thank you soupers for participating in the footle contest..I had great fun rreading most of the entries..In fact I liked them so much that I read them aloud several times..great creativity and originality of thought..
I asked for twelve lines and there were a few who came in with lesser than the required..
There was one West side story which I enjoyed very much but he/she had a few errors like
whole sides/collide and soul mates/stole fate..gangs meet/slang streets..whoever it is just do the needed corrections and postit again...
Pep talk soliquy had 3 syllables per line..it was great, you can post it under some other form..
A very hearty congratualtions to all the worthy winners...I am sorry I am so tied up at the moment that I can't wish each one of you personally..But know that I am grateful from the bottom of my heart to all the soupers who supported this contest..the ones who participated and also the ones who didn't..thank you guys, gals..
