I WAS ME

First I was me,

Selfish as can be,

Wanting everything from A to Z

And wanting it all for me.

Then I became we,

A part of an us.

I learned to share, give and take

I learned how to trust.

Next I was you,

Believe me it's true.

I would rather give than receive,

It was you I wanted to please.

Now I am them,

A family man.

Giving my children,

All that I can.

If you look real close,

It is easy to see,

I am older and wiser,

And no longer a me.

Doubling up on Our Grandbabies
Blog Posted:8/23/2012 5:48:00 PM

This poem is true.  Congratulations to my daughter and son-in-law.  They have been wanting this for quite some time now.

Secret Revealed

She’s trying to keep a secret
Until her confidence is right
But it’s hard to keep this secret
When your jeans start getting tight

Answers don’t always come so easily
To those heartfelt offered prayers
So, hesitantly she goes each day
Not daring her story to share

But the glow upon her face
Makes it harder each day to hide
My dearest, darling daughter
Has twins growing from inside

I remember it like yesterday
Welcoming her into this big world
Soon to become a Mom herself
I couldn’t be happier for my little girl

Congrats to your family, about to get bigger. I remember a bumper sticker I saw once years ago "want to enjoy wildlife - have twins"
