Never would I have thought I would start
writing at 73 years of age. I have thoroughly enjoyed my voyage into the written spirituality of poetry and thank God for the opportunity. In my three years here I have met many new and wonderful persons. Having them accept me as a friend has been a moving experience.

Results of the 101 haiku Contest

Results of my 101 haiku contest are up. Thanks all, for good participation and some good poetry. The predominiant mistake was writing a line 3 which was simply a definition of lines 1 and 2. When we do that we get a "so what" with no juxtaposition. I think I had to leave out only one poem and that was about 20 lines of verse. Thanks again all for helping make it a good contest.
I had three groups of winners. Whether you are placed at the top of your group or the bottom makes no difference in the quality of your poem.
