We had a big family get together which was a huge task and took my niece Jo nearly two years to achieve as there were three countries involved and so many offspring... My mother below had not ever seen some of her great grandchildren and Jo was determined it would happen so she roped me into her plan as it was a surprise party and I got the task of getting her there. My mother(Jo's grandmother) now in her eighties was overwhelmed and it worked out to almost perfection, including a skype call from Florida from where a memeber of the family could not make it. The picture below is my mum, who has never driven a car yet she is in the wheel house of an ESSO oil tanker where she took her navigation ticket and became the first woman ever to do so...So this is what has kept me form finding sillies for you to enjoy this last couple of weeks..... I know Jo looks at this site to see her aunties work so BLESS you Jo luv, you pulled a blinder.
Half The Blame To the woman above I send all my love Because without her I would not be here We had a big family do after a bit of a shove It took my niece a long time, nearly two year. To arrange all the family the task was not easy She started and enrolled me in her ploy I gave up after twelve months it was making me queasy But she was determined and wanted every girl and boy The party was a hit and to Jo I admit For my mum the party was a great surprise It was a wonderful night and without a single fight And she saw nearly fifty of her family before her eyes As Jo delivered her speech, which was hard to beat She declared to the matriarch sitting there If it wasn’t for her sitting there on the seat But, No! To take all the praise wouldn’t be fair A look of surprise crossed mum’s now fragile eyes And poor Jo’s cheeks did now flare red in shame But it was all done in fun and because she’s a goodun, She declared Nan, don’t forget - Granddad shares half of the blame. © ~GG~ 27/02/2013
