Message in A Bottle Contest Finalized

Well, I have finally set aside the time to judge this exciting contest. I am so pleased and surprised with the winners list. These are really excellent poets here. Be sure to read these inspiring poems. The messages these poets left for future inhabitants of Earth, vary, and range from warnings, to destruction, to even humor.     I just read the winning pieces. You had a job on your hands. Those are some very talented writers. I believe, I just had a lesson in brilliant writing. You did a hell of a job with each placement Lady, but it had to be exciting to read well crafted and thought provoking poems! Thanks for the feast of words : )...

    Thanks for the awesome win, Catie. I had considered withdrawing my poem, because of Sandy Hook. I had worried the original intent would be lost and that the message would be misunderstood. I wrote this prior to the massacre... my feelings remained constant on mankind's role in the planet's distruction, our need to reach out towards each other. Glad you saw that, hon! Congrats to all the other fab winners. Appreciated this nudge, made me really think! Contests of this nature are never easy, but it can bring out some REAL poetry that would make the beat poets nod in aggreement. Big kinda sad smile from Cyndi--yes, these, times call for contemplation, self-evaluation. xox
