Hi Danny Boy I have always found you to br truthful and honest in what you write, we all have the devil in us when something dtrikes a chord with us, i don't think any one would or should turn their backs on us when that happens, as fro your fight with medication and illness you get 100% support from me my soup friend, have a great christmas and worry not see you in the new year, all the best Big O

Hey Dan...all i ever read coming from you are kind words.My dad suffers depression and i can understand how you might feel at times..but it will be ok..Dont you worry too much my friend..Take care of yourself..and remember we are human...we arent perfect but Jesus loves us as we are..We are never alone..Have a peaceful Xmas.

Stand for who you are Dan, no one is 100% identical. - I've read much here on the blog pages, that is what I would call it: a lot of crap!! P-Soup is not your life, not mine either ..... even though we spend a lot of time here. - If I do not have anything nice to say to you on the P-Soup, I can close my mouth. - Why spoil the day for each other, when you can make someone's day with kind words. Hullo, Danny-Boy. This is an honest blog from you. I wish you the best towards your medication situation. I think you might worry a little too much about things you don't need to worry about so much? But this is probably all part of it, right? Just so you know, when you and I debate passionately about certain topics, even when we are at our "worst"(lol), you are still more civil than a lot of people when they are at their normal functioning level.

Hi Dan sorry to hear of your struggle, I for one have only seen the warmth in your words. Mental ilness is prevalent in my family so I can relate with your pain. It is good you do not choose to suffer in silence and that you have seeked out help. This speaks to the quality of your heart. I also applaud your courage in speaking out .

Tears for your struggle, sadness for how u feel. But joy in that you do have a poetry soup community of which there are many who love what you write and share. But think of those that give you happy thoughts whether a comment on a poem or soup mail with words of care., who understand you and who like having your around......Good to get the love back from people when you send it out!. Dan, sometimes expressing yourself in certain ways is okay. Hearing U out here on your blog, makes it easier 2 understand what's going on with U. No 1 here on the soup is perfect, sometimes feeling the insanity & sanity makes things clear when touching bases with your heart & God. Life is confusing & here on the soup we have no time for breakdowns. So please do us all a favor, & be the fun smiling poet we know U R. Even if you are not happy because one day you wake up confused. Smile for us, or find the poets whom make you smile. I do it all the time, and they seem to take my blues away at times. And about them pills, do they help stress... cause I am a bit stressed out right now LUV~ya~PD

Sorry to hear about the depression. My hubbie fights it too and I know more than a few here at Soup who have a battle with it. You are not alone. I wish only the best for you and hope you have a great Xmas season!

Hi Dan I have just read this I and can almost understand some of it. I threw a tantrum this morning and my latest post shows it. I really do like to help if I can but sometimes I do take other peoples problems on and then find I have no one to help me with mine and so I threw my dummy out this morning in sheer desperation. I am happy to say I have a knight in shining Armour to help when I shout and that is a big relief and it means I can carry on. Dan, I don't know about anything that you've said before, I haven't read anything that I thought was negative or bad.. but I wanted to thank you for sharing this. This is a good reminder for me in a couple of ways... that I'm not alone in my own struggles... and that I need to be more forgiving and not so quick to be offended, since everyone is has their own problems. So thank you for that, and I hope to read you more. Praying for you to get the proper meds you need to help you feel better! hugs

Thanks for sharing this Dan. I know it's not easy to put yourself out there sometimes, but I suppose that's what writers do, in a sense. I have never read anything aggressive or hateful from you, Dan. I am bipolar also, and so I really understand your concerns. Especially when a medication is no longer doing the job. It is best to come completely off of one medication before starting another. Sometimes they will prescribe 'stacked' medications, one right on top of the other. That usually causes new symptoms to appear, even problems you never had to begin with. so do keep that in mind. We have to be pro-active with our healthcare. I will check on you daily, read your poems and such, and if I see any problems I will soupmail you. please just soupmail me if you need to talk, I understand, and I am here for you. Hugs, Catie :)

Just find yourself some place to lie down and elevate your feet. That will bring down your blood pressure, and get rid of the anxiety. Watch TV, something to take your mind off of all this.

These can range from tightness in your neck, to anxiety attacks to IBS, and even nausea. But... if your doctor is smart, he will gradually reduce the mg dosage, as you go. So there will be some medication in your system doing its job. If you feel anxiety coming on, (it IS scary, I know)

Stay strong. You will not lose yourself in between. You will always have your poetry, it is a gift from God and cannot be taken from you. You may, although, experience some physical withdrawals.

Thanks David, I know you are dealing with your own problems right now.And in my heart I'm dealing with your problems too.That's the problem..I get so gripped up in everybodys lives on here,that some days my heart feels like it's going to explode!All the pain I read of is a feeling that I tend to carry.I can't just say "Get well soon" and leave it at that,and forget about it...As soon as I see a persons pic or name that is having troubles,I get a pain in my heart,and I carry it with me for a while.Then I think it might come out in my words? I don't know?
