Standing Together Alone
There was no wind,
two trees
pointing at life
painting dreams.
Seen at a bend in the road.
Grasping one sun
wrapping each with the other teakettle, house
as together they laughed laughs.

Seen at a bend in the road.
Beating one heart
wrapping each with the other house, river
as they kissed goodbyes goodbye.
There was a wind,
one tree
pointing at life
painting dreams.
Seen at a bend in the road.
Beating two hearts
wrapping one with the other river, wind
as they share life’s life.
