I found Jesus in a hotel drawer

Spent the rest of the night

Begging for forgiveness

And in the morning I woke up

And knew that I was still alone

She found Jesus in the arms of

Boys on the football team

They passed her around like a piece pipe

And when they were done

They couldn't remember her name

So go easy tonight

Drink until the sunrise

Let the darkness surround

It won't ever all be alright

They called her North Dakota

In the hallways

And they called her South Dakota

In the backseats

Being borne again doesn't erase all your sins

It just covers them up like tattoos

I was never honest

To anyone at all

I lied until I couldn't tell

If it was a lie at all

I was borne again in a hotel bathtub

It washed away my sins but not the scars

They'll find me in bed

With a shotgun next to my head

They'll find her dead

With a list of all the guys that left
