Confession
So many are the times I've fallen And countless are my crimson sins With certainty now I am solemn When faced with what I see within
A black and hollow desolation Fraught with greed and devastation Seeking light and reformation A speck of hope upon the fringe.
Twas not always my repair Innocence once held me Long before the wicked snare That furtively compelled me.
Nescience told me dark was light Blind was I to my own plight Wandering further into night To a place I knew not where.
Ergo I am left now broken Traipsing down the primrose path Hoping soon to be awoken Thence elude the coming wrath.
For castigation seeks to find me Pale Death rears his scythe to bind me Demons hope they may confine me My soul becomes inutile chaff.
But I will never cede my soul Whilst I hold a single breath And verily I must condole For penance is my last egress.
And by my lifeblood I'll atone And dredge the filth out of my bones Then nevermpre shall I bemoan And nevermore shall I digress.
